The Türkiye Bursları Scholarships (also known as Turkey Scholarships) is a fully funded government program designed to attract international students, including those from Pakistan, to pursue higher education in Turkey.

Full Tuition Fee coverage for the entire duration of the program.
Monthly Stipend: A fixed amount is provided to cover living expenses, which varies by study level:
Undergraduate: ∼4,500 TL (Turkish Lira)
Master’s: ∼6,500 TL
Ph.D.: ∼9,000 TL
Accommodation: Free placement in state university dormitories. Graduate students are often given housing allowance after the first year.
Round-Trip Airfare: A one-time ticket for the scholar’s first arrival in Turkey and departure after graduation.
Health Insurance: Comprehensive general health insurance coverage.
Turkish Language Course: Recipients who will study in Turkish or do not have a C1 level Turkish proficiency are required to attend a one-year free Turkish Language Course.
How Pakistani Students Can Apply
Pakistani students follow the general international application process:
Check Eligibility and Requirements: Ensure you meet the criteria for your intended level of study (Undergraduate, Master’s, or Ph.D.).
Minimum Academic Achievement:
Undergraduate: Minimum 70% academic score (or equivalent).
Master’s/Ph.D.: Minimum 75% academic score (or equivalent).
Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy): Minimum 90%.
Age Limits (Maximum):
Undergraduate: Under 21 years old.
Master’s: Under 30 years old.
Ph.D.: Under 35 years old.
Application Period: Applications generally open annually between January and February through the official platform.
Online Application via TBBS: You must apply online through the Turkish Scholarships Application System (TBBS) on the official Türkiye Bursları website. You’ll need to register an account first.
Upload Required Documents: Gather and upload digital copies of essential documents:
A valid ID (Passport or National Identity Card).
A photograph taken within the last year.
Diploma or temporary graduation certificate (High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s, depending on the level of application).
Full Academic Transcripts/Mark Sheets.
National or International Exam Results (e.g., SAT, GRE, GMAT, if required by the chosen university/program, though often not mandatory for the scholarship application itself).
Language Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, etc., if applicable for English-taught programs).
Letter of Intent/Personal Statement.
Research Proposal (Mandatory for Ph.D. applicants).
Selection Process: The process involves a document review, followed by expert evaluation, and then an interview for shortlisted candidates (which may be conducted in Pakistan by Turkish officials). Undergraduate candidates for science/engineering fields may also have to take a test prior to the interview.
