What is the Schwarzman Scholars Program?
The Schwarzman Scholars program is a selective, one-year Master of Global Affairs program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. It aims to develop future global leaders through an academic experience that includes a challenging curriculum, cultural immersion, and valuable networking opportunities. You will join a diverse group of around 200 talented individuals from all over the world while gaining insight into China’s evolving role in global affairs.

Eligibility Criteria: Are You a Fit?
To be considered for the Schwarzman Scholars program, you must meet these criteria:
- Undergraduate Degree: You need to hold an undergraduate degree or finish all requirements by August 1, 2026. All academic disciplines are welcome.
- Age: You should be between 18 and 28 years old (inclusive) as of August 1, 2026.
- English Proficiency: If English is not your first language, you must show proficiency with a minimum score of 100 on the TOEFL, 7.0 on the IELTS, 185 on Cambridge English: Advanced (C1) or Proficiency (C2), or 130 on the Duolingo English Test (DET). This requirement is waived if you have studied in English for at least two years at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Leadership Potential: You need to show exceptional leadership abilities, strong academic performance, integrity, and a commitment to global understanding.
